Yes, we are now in the “birthday season!” We call it that because in 30 days we celebrate 10 birthdays at the Ark. Starting us off is Alla. She turned 11 years old yesterday. She’s quite a talented young lady who really loves animals. Who knows; maybe one day she’ll be a vet! Tradition has it that the birthday person gets to decide what kind of cake they would like for their birthday. Alla chose pineapple upside down cake. That for the kids at the Ark is a first. Needless to say they all loved the cake! I guess I’ll be making more of those in the future.
We make a big deal about birthdays – after all that is the day each of us was born! So it is a special day to us and most of all to God. That’s the day He planned for us to make our 1st appearance here on the earth. A very special day indeed! Pray for Alla as she grows and develops that she will reach her full potential. Next birthday in 2 days….Dasha will turn 8. She’s ordered a lemon cake. More to come during the special birthday season…stay tuned…
