Who am I? Good question. I am a missionary living in Kiev, Ukraine working with street children and children-at-risk. I’ve been living in Kiev for nearly 14 years. We have a rehab center for children on the outskirts of Kiev city. It’s a 12 acre property with 8 buildings. Our kids come from the streets or are brought to us by the Ukraine government department of Family Services. Restoration of the family is the goal of Father’s Care. We do this by either returning children to their biological family, if the parents also go through rehab, through adoption, or placement in a foster family. While the task is big, our God is even bigger. So far we have seen 6 children returned to their biological families, 1 adopted, 3 in process of adoption and 2 placed in foster families.
In this blog I’ll post updates about the children living at the Ark, some personal thoughts and observations and some newsworthy local political happenings that you might not hear in the West.
Look forward to your comments on the various postings!
Jane

God bless you as you continue to minister to the needs in Kiev….and beyond!

Found your blog today through a special needs adoption group looking for ways to support the work in Ukraine.
We are in the process of trying to return for our second child at an orphanage in southern Ukraine for disabled children. God bless you and your work!

Wow, sounds like you’re plate is full with what God’s planned for you. Have we met? I’ve been working in Ukraine since ‘95, too.
Jane-
I’ve been wondering what’s happening in Ukraine. Thanks for these heartwarming blogs.
I’ll read them with my prayer group to reconnect our hearts to yours.
Love, Tunie
